we are
Edisto Electric
Cooperative, Inc., your Touchstone Energy® Partner,
is a member-owned rural electric cooperative headquartered in Bamberg,
South Carolina. Founded in 1939, the co-op provides service
to residential, commercial and industrial consumers in Allendale,
Bamberg, Barnwell, Berkeley, Colleton, Dorchester, Hampton and
Orangeburg Counties. We give the power to light homes and brighten
the streets; to warm long winter nights and cool hot summer days;
to open retail doors and turn the cogs of commerce. If you
are one of the thousands with whom we serve and touch your life

Although our members receive electricity at the lowest possible
cost, this is not the only benefit of cooperative membership. Members
may participate in innovative programs and services tailored to
meet their needs. Our members have a voice in how the cooperative
is operated. Our governing body, the board of trustees,
is composed of members who are elected by other members.
Our programs reflect
a spirit of cooperation forged through more than half a century of
partnership with our members. It is
a way of doing business that sets us apart from other utilities and
it is the foundation for our continued growth and success. From
the smallest rural home to the largest industrial facility, our members
