From toasters to televisions, electrical appliances and home electronics today use energy far more efficiently than earlier models.

One thing hasn’t changed, however: The best energy conservation device is still the on/off switch.

That means switching off lights in unoccupied rooms, turning off televisions that no one is watching, and shutting down computers that are not in use.

It sounds old-fashioned, we know, but it works. We promise.
